Looking Closely: Teaching With Objects
How can teachers infuse your museum’s content into everyday learning? How can docents encourage conversations with visitors? Object based learning, an approach used by many museum educators during tours and workshops, is a transdisciplinary pedagogy based in the practice of looking closely at artifacts, making observations, and coming to conclusions based upon evidence. Join educators from the National Air and Space Museum to dig deeper into how staff uses object based learning during on site programming, through teacher professional development, and in classrooms.
