About Our Speaker:

Will Nixon serves as Senior Director of Finance for the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, where he helps guide the long-term financial strategy and institutional stewardship of one of Virginia’s leading museum organizations. With more than a decade of experience in public-sector and nonprofit financial leadership, he is known for connecting financial decision-making with mission delivery, organizational sustainability, and public accountability. His work emphasizes practical collaboration across disciplines, helping museum professionals evaluate opportunities, understand trade-offs, strengthen mission delivery, and use financial information to make better decisions. Will holds an MBA from William & Mary with concentrations in corporate finance and data analytics, as well as a bachelor’s degree in finance from Longwood University. He is also a certified Virginia Contracting Master. His commitment to community and cultural service extends beyond his professional role through his recent election to the Board of Directors of the Williamsburg Symphony Orchestra and his involvement with the Virginia Freemasons. Together, these experiences have given him a broad perspective on the operational, governance, and resource challenges facing museums, cultural institutions, and other mission-driven organizations.
