Join the Virginia Association of Museums for an Advocacy Day Training session led by VAM member Nathan Stalvey.
This interactive session will prepare you to champion your museum’s mission and share its vital role in the community. Together, we’ll explore:
- How decisions are made at the state and local levels—and why your voice is essential in those spaces.
- Building authentic connections with elected officials to foster partnerships that advance your museum’s goals.
- Crafting compelling messages that highlight your museum’s impact and inspire action.
- Navigating key advocacy issues like funding, programming, and education with confidence and clarity.
This orientation will provide a preview of our Virginia Museum Advocacy Day scheduled for February 12. The training will help prepare you for the do’s and don’ts of meeting with your legislators and ensure you feel confident and ready to be an advocate for your museum.
