Focus Group: Museum Education
VAM is excited to announce an initiative that will engage the Virginia museum community to help address challenges facing the field. The process will launch this month with a series of virtual facilitated focus groups that will offer members an opportunity to share various perspectives to help determine pressing needs in the field and what support VAM may provide to meet those needs.

To launch the initiative, a series of virtual Focus Groups will be held throughout July and August. This series will be led by project facilitator, Steven Blashfield, Principal and Director of the Cultural Studio at Glavé & Holmes Architecture, and Treasurer of VAM’s Board of Directors, along with assistance from other VAM board members.

Utilizing the regularly scheduled Peer Group Chats on Thursday afternoons at 3:00pm ET, these hour-long conversations will offer opportunities for members of the museum field in Virginia and Washington, DC to have their voices heard.

Members are invited to attend one of the respective groups that they feel matches their position or expertise.
RSVP to attend. Space is limited to 40 guests per session.

RSVP to attend the July 15 focus group for museum educators and those working or interested in museum education, visitor services, interpretation, front line positions, etc. Space is limited.
