Kelly Bisogno

Kelly Bisogno serves as the Coordinator of Fine Arts for the Virginia Department of Education, where she leads statewide efforts to develop and strengthen high-quality K–12 programs in dance, music, theatre, and visual arts. With more than two decades of experience as an educator, program leader, and teacher-preparation faculty member, she has shaped state standards, authored key arts education reports, and built lasting partnerships with schools, higher education, and cultural institutions. Kelly also teaches in the Art Education program at Virginia Commonwealth University, preparing preservice teachers for successful entry into the K–12 art education field. Her national leadership includes roles with the National Art Education Association, the Arts Education Partnership, and the National Coalition for Arts Standards. A Virginia Art Educator of the Year and Distinguished Fellow of the Virginia Art Education Association, Kelly is committed to supporting meaningful, high-quality learning experiences across educational programs.
