Tuesday Talk: Express Your Geekness Day!

Supposedly the origins of the word "geek" refer to a derogatory term used to describe someone who worked in circuses. Today, the term is used more lovingly to describe someone who is an expert in or has a great deal of knowledge on a particular subject or issue. 

Our July 13th Tuesday Talks happens to fall on "Embrace Your Geekness Day," so there seems no better time to gather with our fellow museum geeks for a fun morning to celebrate our expertise, be it museums or other interests. Grab your Star Wars mug and put on your Hogwarts t-shirt and tricorn hat, and spend your morning with your #VAMfam and share your knowledge. We'll kick off the conversation with a few questions, such as, what is something you learned about yourself during the pandemic and what is a new way you have found to use your expertise?

We'll even give away a workshop registration to the most impressive “geek” of the day!
