Evening Virtual Town Hall - Reflecting on the Annual Conference and Looking Ahead to Williamsburg 2026

A conversation to reflect on Blacksburg2025 and preview Williamsburg2026.

Tuesday, May 20, 2025
6:00 PM - 7:00 PM (EDT)

Event Details

This virtual Town Hall is designed to reflect on various aspects of the 2025 annual conference including pre-event clarity, participant belonging, engagement and learning outcomes, professional growth, actionable recommendations, and future leadership interest.

We will reflect on the sense of belonging and how the conference made attendees feel within structured and informal spaces with respect to conference programming in Blacksburg, VA. As part of this reflection we will share survey metrics and data and be transparent about how VAM intends to use responses collected from the "Managing Unpredictability Together" session during the conference. In summary, this virtual Town Hall will focus on participant experience and how VAM can support connection, learning, and belonging, not just from conference to conference, but also for any program or outreach VAM facilitates or coordinates.

Additionally, during the virtual Town Hall, VAM will preview Williamsburg 2026 and highlight the conference theme: Little ‘r’ Revolutions: Museum Transformations for Everyone. This will be a great opportunity to learn about plans for Williamsburg, VA with VA250 in mind while offering input regarding conference design, programming, and outreach.

This virtual gathering will not be made available as a recording, but that is why we are offering two sessions, one during the evening (May 20) and one during the day (May 29).
