Advocacy Day Tips:

  • Helpful Apps--Virginia Public Access Project (VPAP) has created a nice app available for download to your phone in your app store that serves as a Virginia General Assembly Directory. It has all the House & Senate Members, Contact Information, Map of their new office in the General Assembly Building, and Committee Assignments. For Google Play, visit this link.

  • Attire--We suggest that you dress in business attire for this event--a suit isn't necessary, but you want to look tailored and professional.  Definitely choose comfortable shoes for walking, though--you will be doing a lot of that!

  • Parking--Parking is always an issue downtown during the General Assembly session, so be sure to leave time for a little circling. Read more...
