2026 Annual Conference

The theme for the 2026 conference is: Little ‘r’ Revolutions: Museum Transformations for Everyone 

The 250th anniversary of the United States offers a great opportunity to showcase the transformative power of “revolutions” in our future planning, work cultures, and democratizing our institutions. We invite our colleagues to develop workshops, panels, and posters that teach us all about the “small r” revolutions that VAM members are leading and for all of us to reflect on the opportunities these changes offer for our field.

Virginia is fortunate to have a rich and diverse museum community that preserves, protects, and interprets the Commonwealth’s cultures, arts, sciences, lives, and histories. The quality of collections, programs, and exhibits in the Commonwealth is exceptional. Creative collaborations between museums and other organizations lead to innovative approaches that have the power to transform communities.

Registration Instructions: 

1. Select Download Agenda to view the Schedule at a Glance!
2. Sign into your account before registering! This ensures you receive your applicable registration rate, such as the discounted rates for members. The promo code will only apply once per member. Contact us if you need assistance. 
3. Select your applicable conference registration rate from the Full or Single Day Registration section. 
4. Be sure to scroll to the end of the registration page to view optional ticketed events.
5. While most meals are included, paid registration is required for the Awards Luncheon. 
6. Add any free or paid events you wish to attend under the Optional Tickets section. If you have questions about guest tickets, please contact us.
7. Fill in applicable information for each ticket item.
8. From now until January 30, 2026 at 11:59 PM (EST) apply applicable promo code EBVAM2026 before check out. The promo code will only apply once per registration. Be sure to hit the "Apply" button!
9. Complete registration by paying online. 
10. After March 4, you can register in person for the conference and/or additional events each day of the conference.
