Professional Bio
Mary Helen Dellinger is a native of Manassas Park, Virginia. She attended public schools there before earning a Bachelor of Arts in American History from Mary Washington College. She later completed a Master of Arts in History from George Mason University and holds a Certificate in Museum Management from the Virginia Association of Museums.
From 1990 to 2011, Mary Helen served as Curator of the Fredericksburg Area Museum and Cultural Center. She joined the City of Manassas Museum in 2012, where she now serves as Curator of the Museum and Historic Sites. In this dual role, she oversees the museum’s extensive artifact collection and exhibition program, while also managing the care and interpretation of seven historic properties owned by the City of Manassas.
Mary Helen serves on the Governing Council of the Virginia Association of Museums and is an active member of Christ Lutheran Church and the University of Mary Washington Alumni Association.
