Professional Bio
Julia Orr is the program manager for the Aviation Explorers Program at the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum. Aviation Explorers promotes aviation careers and topics to teens, targeting underserved communities. In her other work at the Museum, Julia focuses on creating opportunities and expanding access to STEM fields for underrepresented youth populations, focusing on aviation, technology and engineering. Prior to joining the National Air and Space Museum, Julia was a Senior Museum Educator at Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum where she concentrated in youth development programs.
Julia has a MA in Museum Studies from New York University and a BS in Statistics and BA in Anthropology from the University of Georgia.
