Barbaricum is seeking a Digital Engagement Specialist to support a contract with the National Museum of the United States Army (NMUSA). The NMUSA will serve as the capstone of the Army Museum Enterprise and honor United States soldiers by providing a comprehensive portrayal of Army history and traditions.
 
This individual will provide a variety of media relations services on behalf of the NMUSA while working with a team of public affairs specialists and event managers. This position is based at Fort Belvoir, VA.

Responsibilities

    • Monitor and manage social media platforms
    • Utilize social media analytics to evaluate content interactions and effectiveness of NMUSA media activity
    • Develop and maintain an outreach strategy and serve as museum representative at outreach events
    • Prepare and maintain outreach presentations, briefings, contact files, and outreach collateral materials
    • Respond to requests for articles, photos, news, and feature stories for visitor bureaus, tourism kiosks, and other information distribution outlets.
    • Track repeat inquiry topics and trends for improvement.
    • Prepare and maintain a general information museum briefing appropriate for external and internal audiences and present briefing when needed
    • Monitor and manage social media platforms
    • Utilize social media analytics to evaluate content interactions and effectiveness of NMUSA media activity

Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree required
    • 2 years of relevant experience 
    • Ability to obtain Public Trust clearance required
