Salary - $35,000-$40,000/annually based on experience

Hanover Tavern Foundation (HanoverTavern.org) is a nonprofit organization which owns and operates Historic Hanover Tavern in Hanover County. Listed on the Virginia Landmarks Register and the National Register of Historic Places, Hanover Tavern is a focal point of the Hanover Courthouse Historic District.


The mission of Hanover Tavern Foundation is to preserve, interpret, and utilize Hanover Tavern as an historic, educational, community and cultural resource center for the enjoyment of all.


The Foundation is seeking a qualified individual to join its team as: Marketing & Programs Coordinator


Job Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with Executive Director and Hanover Tavern Restaurant & Pub management team to develop annual marketing plan
• Design Foundation and Hanover Tavern Restaurant & Pub marketing materials (flyers, posters, rack cards, direct mail pieces, brochures etc.)
• Market Foundation and restaurant events via social media, external online calendars, websites, print, and digital
• Create and schedule biweekly email blasts
• Regularly update HanoverTavern.org website
• Assist Executive Director to identify new sources of funding and to strategize on grant requests
• Participate in the planning, creation, and implementation of exhibits and events
• Contribute to and support Development and Education and Programming Committees and related activities
• Manage internal database (Little Green Light); send follow up communication and mailings to members and donors; produce reports as needed
• Assist Executive Director and restaurant management to plan and create annual calendar of events
• Represent Hanover Tavern Foundation at on- and off-site events
• Coordinate and manage all event and program ticket sales
• Provide tours to patrons as needed
• Provide oversight of gift shop
• Coordinate and delegate responsibilities to volunteers during events and special projects
• Draft and record Board and Committee minutes
• Other administrative duties as assigned


Job Requirements:
• Graphic design and creative marketing skills; proficiency in InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Photoshop or other graphics software
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Team player attitude and excitement for utilizing historic site for educational and community programming
• Bachelor’s or Associate Degree desired

Pay Range: Based on experience
