The Frontier Culture Museum of Virginia is accepting applications for an Event Support Coordinator position at our outdoor living history museum in Staunton VA. The position is responsible for booking and coordinating rentals of our facilities for external clients and internal programs. In addition to reservations management and event logistics, the positions assists with some marketing and communications activities to showcase the Museum's rentable resources and supports Museum programs. The position works as a member of an inter-agency team which requires collaboration between Visitor Services, Programs, Administrative, Facilities and Foundation Staff. Position will assist with visitor services operations as needed during busy periods. This is a full-time position with a Wednesday through Sunday schedule for most of the year, which carries state benefits, and paid sick and vacation days.

Minimum Qualifications

Two to three years special events, retail sales and/or customer service experience. Demonstrated experience and skill with computers, computer systems and programs, social media, smart phones, tablets and similar technology essential. Experience using electronic point-of-sale reservation and retail sales systems a major plus


Special Requirements

Must be able to work a Wednesday - Sunday work week for most of the year.
