Salary: $25,000-60,000 year
Proactively develop new accounts, cultivate existing accounts and implement sales strategies to achieve sales goals and maximize revenue for the Virginia Beach Surf & Rescue Museum’s Event and Facility Rentals.
Interpret and explain museum policies and procedures. Routinely conduct industry-related research to identify potential facility users through the use of databases, Internet searches, social media channels and other methods as assigned or created. Plan and implement creative local and regional sales campaigns for ongoing lead generation and developing client relationships.
Prepare and present museum use proposals and cost estimates for potential clients. Conduct facility tours and make formal presentations to clients and event planners and other facility users regarding museum booking policies, rental rates, services and operational policies. Prepare event license agreements and addenda; consult with management regarding specific language issues; prepare related correspondence to facility users in finalizing booking arrangements. Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide exceptional customer service.
Coordinate with approved caterers and vendors for all events. Report directly to the Executive Director for staffing and security requirements for specific events.
This position will include event management, being on site before, during, and after all events. The position will require a regular schedule of nights and weekends. The position is full time, salaried, with a comprehensive bonus structure.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
