Riggs Ward is an award-winning development and design firm that inspires visitor engagement and exploration. We are listeners who work as client advocates through research, planning, experiential exhibit design, interactive media, and innovative graphic design.


The firm’s interactive developers are always one step ahead in a world where technology is rapidly changing. We specialize in user-friendly mobile app development, AR & VR development, touch + gesture/motion-controlled interactives, modern audio-visual media systems, and projection mapping – both interior and exterior.

We seek a full-time environmental graphic designer to be a part of our growing team. The successful candidate will create graphics that complement and blend seamlessly with the built environment and with media installations.



  • 4-year degree in graphic or environmental graphic design
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in environmental graphic design or in the design of large-format graphics
  • Experience in wayfinding, signage design, environmental branding, documentation, and 2D and 3D visualization.
  • Detail oriented with excellent communication skills. Must be able to coordinate with the team to clearly and artfully present ideas.
  • Able to work both independently and with the team and/or client.



Candidates must be sensitive to architecture, materials, branding, colors, and typography. A multidisciplinary background and diverse approach are preferred. 


Must be proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and any 3D Rendering experience is a plus, especially any SketchUp or similar knowledge.


Candidates must have the ability to conduct field surveys, create design and presentation drawings, and produce quality documentation to proper scale and within the dimensions of the build. Working closely with other designers as a team, taking constructive criticism, and coming to consensus on design direction is critical to working in a collegial environment.
