Job Listing: Distance Learning Technical Assistant
NATIONAL MUSEUM OF THE MARINE CORPS - TRIANGLE, VA

The National Museum of the Marine Corps is seeking a technical professional to play a major role in maintaining its distance learning studio and supporting the Museum's Education Department.
Preferences: The successful candidate will be an excellent team player with exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Schedule: This is a 29 hour per week position. The work schedules vary and may include weekends, evenings, and holidays.
This position is located at The National Museum of the Marine Corps, located in Triangle. VA.
The Technical Assistant will perform duties as follows:
*Maintains distance learning equipment.
*Record and edit pre-recorded/live-streamed programming for various audiences.
*Upload pre-recorded programs and maintain content on video-sharing websites
*Troubleshoot technical issues prior to and during live-streamed programs
*Create and edit promotional material for distance learning programming
*Assists with other special programs provided by the Education Department
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Familiarity with the functionality of various learning management systems used for distance learning programming, knowledge of video conferencing applications such as Skype, Skype for Business, and Google hangouts.
Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and iMovie is a must. Physical ability to bend, stoop, and stand for long periods of time and lift tables and chairs weighing 30-40 lbs.
Education and Experience:
Associates or Bachelors degree in a related field preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Salary: $14.00 to $16.50 /hour
