Starting salary: $49,412.


Primary responsible for facility management of Meadow Farm and multiple other recreation facility locations as assigned; supervises assigned administrative support staff, including full-time, part-time and temporary staff as assigned; coordinates with Department staff on facility and technical set-ups and operations in support of programming and events at the assigned locations; assists with developing assigned locations budgets; manages assigned locations within approved budgets; contracts with necessary resources according to County procurement policies; ensures the assigned locations are operating in accordance with County and Department policies; does related work as required.


Meadow Farm Museum is a specialized facility in need of a qualified site coordinator knowledgeable in preservation and interpretation.


  • Its buildings and artifacts are historic in nature which requires specialized care and use.
  • Visitors that come to the sites are looking for entertainment, education, knowledge, and discourse based on history that is well-documented.
  • Daily operations require meticulous research and the implementation of best practices in the field of historic preservation and interpretation.
  • Seasonal and thematic changes in programming demand constant evaluation of planned activities, tours, interpretation, and collections care needs.

The preferred candidate would centralize leadership for the day-to-day operation of the historic site. This individual would work closely with the Senior Historic Preservation Specialist on collections care of the structures and artifacts as well as overseeing the accurate and sensitive interpretation of the site. Troubleshooting and problem-solving would be performed daily. This position would be responsible for the coordination of staff schedules for conducting tours, school programs, events and assisting with collections care and documentation.
