Join museum professionals and fellow members of the Virginia Association of Museums for a Wikipedia editing workshop presented by WikimediaDC on Monday, September 23 in Fredericksburg. Learn how to edit and improve Wikipedia articles and engage with museum-focused Wikipedia projects such as GLAM-Wiki, an initiative that helps cultural institutions share their resources with the world through collaborative projects with experienced Wikipedia editors.
This is a hands-on workshop that will include training, lunch, and time to work on editing Wikipedia pages.
- Laptops are required; please bring your own.

Wikimedia District of Columbia is the Wikimedia Chapter serving Maryland, Virginia, Delaware, West Virginia, and the District of Columbia. As an official Wikimedia chapter, they support the goals of the Wikimedia Foundation, including the work of volunteers on Wikipedia and other Wikimedia projects as well as numerous other free knowledge initiatives.
