Position Title - Education Outreach and Programs Manager

Compensation - Up to $48K

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the development and presentation of education programs

  • Act as the Virginia War Memorial’s liaison with the education community,

  • Manage student programs such as essay contests and scholarship programs

  • Grow the Virginia War Memorial’s influence within the education community statewide

  • Contribute to Virginia War Memorial special events and programs as required

  • Represent the Education team at conferences and seminars as necessary.

Qualifications -

  • Experience with planning and conducting education programming.
  • Experience with Museum programming and operations preferred.
  • Experience with public speaking and/or presentations.
  • Superior organization, planning, decision-making, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create video and online content for education purposes.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
  • Experience working within a team and interacting with customers and/or visitors.
  • Problem-solving experience and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with our military and veteran communities.
