Museum Photography and Digitization Practices for Cultural Heritage

This one-day workshop explores some of the methods and practices specific to the unique world of museum photography and cultural heritage digitization projects. Get behind-the-scenes of the VMFA's photography department to learn about the standards and best practices for creating archival quality images of collection objects of various types. Explore various sets for imaging different types of objects plus learn about the related photographic and calibration equipment necessary to make your imaging project a success.

This is an intermediate level workshop where some prior experience in photography is preferred.
